Tokyo Ahoy

Hurrah for voluntary three day weekends. Yesterday was quite a crappy day. School visits followed by an hour of eikaiwa class at the city hospital. I realised that I despised teaching eikaiwa when I was being paid for it - having to do it pro bono after my workday has ended is like insult to injury.

After the eikaiwa I biked home and then back to the station - about 5 kilometers - in twenty minutes, only to discover that hyperdia lies and my train was set to leave a quarter of an hour after it was supposed to.

I arrived in the Big City, where I sat waiting for my friends, who were an hour late. That sucked.

What did not suck, however, was driving to Tokyo for $40/person, and then being on the guestlist for a sweet club in Shibuya. We got there a bit late, which was unfortunate, but still had several hours of music left.

Thanks to the encouragement of friends, I had four tequila shots in an hour...and gained naught but a slight buzz from it. I woke up fine this morning, too. Tequila and vodka are two liquors I have never had a problem with, for whatever reason.

There are plans to go to another club tonight, in about half an hour or so. To kill time I find myself burning a crapload of breaks and house music onto CDRs. Life is sweet.

That will be all.
