Fourteen students from a nearby middle school came to visit my kids at the special needs school today. I was put in charge of the camera. I was quite glad to see that it was a digital camera, because while the good pictures I take are brilliant, I have to shoot a lot of crap in between.
I was snapping a picture a second, because it's hard to take a photograph of a handicapped child (all but two of the students are wheelchair bound, bodies bent at a 45-50 degree angle at the waist) and her two helpers while the three are involved in stamping calendars. You don't often get a chance to get one, let alone three, faces in the picture, so I figured I might as well snap whenever it looked like a good scene might present itself. I think I was doing pretty well.
I say 'think' because, haha, I apparently didn't manage to take any pictures at all. This fact was discovered approximately five minutes before the visit ended and approximately thirty seconds before the battery died. So there are possibly two pictures.
I feel so bad for those poor kids, because they aren't going to have any pictures to take away from the visit. One of the teachers in charge of the middle school kids had a camera at least; I hope she took some good photos on it.
That will be all.

Because while my schedule had been changed for over a week, NO ONE THOUGHT TO TELL ME ABOUT IT. Which of course made me look like the ass.
But anyway, I'd go ahead and tell your teachers about your holiday, and offer to reschedule the classes for some time in the far future. That way they won't have any excuse to get pissed at you for just not showing up, and you can get the preemptive hint in that you aren't going to be teaching those lessons any time soon.
