Because Some of You...
Jul. 21st, 2004 05:10 am...are most likely wondering why I even bother.
I sincerely enjoy my life outside of the office. Today I went and dropped about 30 paperbacks at the local international center, to much fanfare and happiness from the lady who runs the place.
Getting back into the elevator to head downstairs afterwards, I was confronted by three Japanese girls, none over the age of nine or so.
"Hi!" I say to them.
"Herr-ro," one giggles back. The others follow suit.
Nothing for it. "Are you going...shopping?" I ask in my best Japanese cadence.
"No," says the spokesgirl. "Game."
"Ooh, fun!" I tell them, to another wave of giggles.
As we're exiting the elevator I hear the spokesgirl exclaiming to the others, in Japanese, "I got interviewed!"
It was the cutest thing Evah. At least yet today.
That will be all.
