We have reached a delightful new low.
Mar. 18th, 2004 01:14 amGraduation was this Tuesday, which meant that I needed to tempt fate by drinking the night before on principal. (For the record, this is the first time I've gone out drinking on a weeknight since arriving in Japan.) I went out for yakitori with the Brits, which involved a chuu-hi and about five draft beers, but which, to my credit, ended at about 8:30.
I went home, and continued to bitch to
metal_dog5 about the Male Situation. (BTW, she's been a doll about sitting through this whole thing.)
Anyway, just as I was about to go to bed at a respectable 11pm, I got call from Charlie. Charlie and I pwn karaoke in this city, so I could hardly refuse.
But it gets better.
Cause there were Japanese boys there.
A crewful.
But not just any Japanese boys.
None of them were over twenty.
teal_geezus can commiserate. Or laugh at me.
But it gets better. Get ready for this.
Sailors.
Yeah. You read that right.
I'm happy to say that everything you've ever heard about sailors is true. They'd just returned from four months at sea, and were very enthusiastic. I've hung out with these guys before (and have the pictures on my keitai to prove it). They were most happy to see me again, and the evening, I am glad to say, was chock full of drunk, cho-genki, h4wt Japanese boys draping themselves all over one another, and better yet, ME.
We stayed out until five in the morning. A small phalanx of them insisted on walking me home. They then asked if they could sleep with me. (I refused, for a host of reasons, but one wonders, if I'd said yes, how they would have gone about selecting the lucky gentleman from among their number. Jan-ken-pon? Or perhaps they were willing to share? I'd have no problems...)
::cough::
Spring. The sap is flowing. Can you feel it?
That will be all.
