Ganked from everyone like, a month ago, here is The Desk Meme.

First of all, as I do not actually own a desk, I suppose I should rename this the Kotatsu Meme. I will also take this time to mention that my kotatsu, in all its 70s glory, was given to my by city hall (with the "discount" price tags still attached, you cheap fuckers), and thus the ...distinctive... color scheme was not of my own selection. fragilistikal, among others, has already laughed at it, so you don't need to.

A: Laptop. My lifeline to the world. Needs no further explanation.
B: Denchi Jisho, aka electronic dictionary. Increased my manga-reading speed by about 500%.
C: Irish Flute. My baby. Key of D. Casey Burns, mopane, keyless (whimper).
D: Peripherals. Top line goes to the line out to my stereo, middle line to the jack for my digital camera, bottom line goes to the microphone I use to record my playing and the jack for my mp3 player.
E: Birthday card from my grandparents. ::hearts::
F: Mack Hoover Narrow Bore brass pennywhistle in D. Number 483. The black case contains my Michael Burke Al-pro D.
G: Formerly a box of Xmas chocolates given to me by my parents, it now houses pencils, pens, and random Desk Stuff. The TV remote is on top of it.
H: Stereo remote.

You can a good portion of the rest of my bedroom as well, but since it's pretty much self-explanatory, I won't waste my time describing it.

Btw, what's a kotatsu?

Kotatsu are as you see in the pic. It's a table with a quilt on top, and another tabletop over that. There's an electric heater and fan under the table. You sit there, turn it on, and it keeps your important bits toasty-warm.
