Woah! Fandom rambling follows...

akujunkanToday I tracked down the latest Zero Sum (it having been released while I was stateside). Due to the facts that: Saiyuki Gaiden hasn't been printed in ages; the Saiyuki Reload chapters are seldom over twenty pages; and aside from Saiyuki, most of the serialised manga it contains are crap, I rarely buy ZS, but rather participate in the venerable Japanese tradition of 立ち読み, or reading my favorite bits in the store without actually buying.
This month, even though the cover price went up by a dollar, I may actually buy the ZS.
A few months ago, I published a story called Into Bed. The majority of the fic (namely everything save the last four paragraphs) was written over two years ago. And this month's Saiyuki Reload reproduces the flow of my story to a really creepy degree. We have:
Gojyou, somewhat irked at Hakkai, spending a long night at the bars
Until the girls annoy him and he stumbles home drunk
At about five in the morning
To find a meal (albeit dinner, not breakfast) waiting for him on the table, and
Hakkai asleep in his bed (this panel freaked me out -![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
hazardblue, I wish you could see it, it's unreal)
Mention is made of how clean Hakkai keeps the place for him as
Gojyou wakes up the next morning not quite knowing how to deal with Hakkai
Who replaces his dirty ashtrays and sets things at ease.
And I'm jumping-up-and-down happy because of it. Not because of any tinhat theories, but because my grasp on the characters is so close to Minekura's that I basically anticipated a story she was going to write. And that's pretty damn cool.
That will be all.
