firsts
First best friend: Heather Cone. Jewish. Her father was diabetic.
First real memory of something: Kicking my yellow & blue soccer ball around the yard at Edanola. I couldn't have been older than two. Waiting with my mother in the maternity ward before my sister was born. My mom gave me some Beatrix Potter books and told me about pregnancy and childbirth. I kept insisting that she was just fat.
First car: That I drove? Dodge Grand Caravan. Great for making cops think you were someone's pissed off soccer mom. Never once got pulled over for speeding.
First date: Joe Dillion. We went to Waterworld. I was 14. My parents took me to the second showing and got the times for the late showing, came to get me 4 hours after the movie was out. I was terrified. They then accused me of lying to them about going to the movie in order to have sex. Great ones, my parents.
First break-up: Joe Dillon. All he ever did was drool spit down my throat and eat my lunch desserts.
First job: The Boston Grille. Started as a dishwasher, then added groundskeeper, table buser, and hostess. The place was going out of work so the 3 staff members did everything.
First screen name: Madratter (it was XF fandom, dammit). Followed by Halfchild, which was too obscure for anyone to understand its meaning.
First self purchased album: Nirvana - Nevermind.
First funeral : My grandmothers. Weird, given our family baggage.
First pets: Katy and Pudgy the cats.
First piercing/tattoo: My earlobes.
First credit card: Never. I will not bow to your capitalist propaganda.
First true love: Still waiting for that fiction to occur.
First enemy: Can't remember his name. Bullied me on the bus in first grade. Then I fought back and ended up going over to his house to play each week.

First play/musical/performance : First grade. I was an Indian chief in the Thanksgiving play. I can still sing the damn song.
