Kazaa is suing the RIAA and some record labels for copyright infringement. It appears that the RIAA used Kazaa-lite as they were gathering info on filesharing for their lawsuits. Kazaa claims that Kazaa-lite is an unauthorized pirated edition of Kazaa's own filesharing program and that the use RIAA made of the program would have been a license violation even if they had been using a properly licensed copy of the Kazaa program.
Busted.
