I'm not sure what makes me angrier: that some idiot paid $265 for this, or that the author is possessed of such unadulterated HUBRIS as to think she deserves it.

I love how it's "not Mac compatible at this time"

firstly - CDs are in a standardized format that all OS's can interpret. Secondly, .jpg is also a standard format that pretty much any image viewer (including all internet browsers) Thirdly, Macs can read Windows-formatted Word Documents, but it doesn't go the other way around.

That is all.

Good point! But, OTOH, if it kept more hapless idiots from bidding on it, good for her (idiocy).

Go into the bid history and check out all the shilling, and the final bid retraction, that went on.

Grr. I wish I was possessed of such little moral capacity as to pull a stunt like this; I could use the cash.

I agree totally.

And as I said above, very dishonest too. We had how many people who created Ebay IDs on the same day they placed bids? At least five.

Basically, either the "author" or her friends, or both, created IDs solely for the purpose of raising the bids of honest bidders.

The final bid of $265 was also retracted as soon as it was placed - another clue that they were feeling out the bid prices of honest bidders.

Grr.

That's not cool at all. It's ridiculous, but why would anyone in their right mind buy that? Who do they think they are that people will pay for that crap?

Especially considering the fact that the stories are still available online. The only "extras" the CD had were wallpapers, etc. created with copyrighted images. (Repeat after me class, Il-le-gal. Co-py-right in-fring-ment.)

Not to mention the fact that her writing, uh, sucks donkey balls.

Ha, ha, ha.

So you've read some of her stuff? I don't think I'd bother now. *shrugs*
