While I'm sure it makes your library all sorts of awesomesauce, what's the significance? Do most other libraries keep this under lock and key, access only available every two years at a specific hour under the third waning moon to a select few?

Pretty much, actually. The unis I've attended not only had it available only in reference, it was usually on permanent hold at the reference desk, which means you had request permission to look at it.

Which is not such a big deal, because they all subscribed to the online version, but right now, I have the real thing at my house.
