Today's Picture: 118 (05/24/2009)
May. 26th, 2009 06:12 pmToday's Picture from Sunday the 24th is of:

persimmon seeds and peanuts. They're a common variety of otsumami or sakana, or snacks one eats with beer. (Edamame are probably the most well-known variety of otsumami in the States.)
As you can see, the persimmon and peanuts come in little individually-wrapped packages. Tastewise, they're a mix between salty and (what is to Japanese people) spicy. Anyway, they're good stuff; anyone who hasn't eaten them before should try to get their hands on some.
That will be all.

on 2009-05-27 03:25 am (UTC)Like, remember how FW/SB got Borders and B&N only after I went to the Academy? And we got Bishops only after I went to DC...and it went away when I came back home.
That bile out of the way, that's awesome that you guys get to eat more Japanese foods:-)
