Mina, which is one of the trendiest shopping malls in Kyoto, and the site of my second job--in retail--which I started today. So there you have it: here I am, a full time graduate student conducting my studies in a foreign language and working 30+ hours a week.

Wow. No wonder you haven't posted for awhile. Money must be tight, huh? I wish I could find a job...(SIGH)

Yeah, in fact, the Japanese government cut my scholarship by over $200, with no warning. There's a rumor that it's going to go down to $400 a month some time in the future, which means I won't even be able to make my rent...

OMG...that totally sucks! OTOH, your parents finally sent your info to the paper. You were in the local Tuesday edition! Either their proud (my bet is bragging) or the newspaper does it's research (yeah, right!)
