Wow, that has to have been one of the worst trips I have ever been on, which was unfortunate because I quite like Hong Kong and Indonesia is a lovely country. The company, however, was rotten.

Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] demeter918 was waiting for me at the eki when I got back home, and we're going to hang out in the East Capital next week.

At any rate, I'm back home safely and will hopefully start posting photos and the like within the next day or two.

That will be all.

Dang. That bad? o.o I can't imagine it was due to any flaw on your part, as you were a lovely hostess to Jen and me.

Happy B-Day!

Thanks. And you and Jen were lovely rectangle guests^^

Incidentally, I'll be in Tokyo between the 18th and 20th. Any chance we could hang out for a bit one last time before you guys leave for greener pastures?

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, let's do it! Caroline's coming in on the 19th... you could meet up with her again. Tell you what, send me and Jen an e-mail (also, I don't seem to have your keitai info). ontogenesisATgmail.com

I am glad that you are home and I hope to see some pictures soon. Does Indonesia have smaller islands other than the main one? I would like to know more about the country. Also, do you have any pics of Okinawa. I saw a special on their versatile diet on the Travel channel. If you've been, can I travel vicariously through you?

Also, most importantly, I miss you!

Indonesia has thousands of islands and hundreds of thousands of miles of shoreline (which is why the U.S. freaked out about radical Islamist groups in Indonesia: it's almost impossible to effectively police its borders).

The main islands are Java (where the capital is), Kalimantan (Indonesian name for the island of Borneo, which it shares with the insular Malaysia), Sumatra, Sulawesi, New Guinea (which it shares with Papua New Guinea), and Bali, which is not big geographically speaking but one of the main tourist destinations in the country.

I haven't been to Okinawa yet, mainly because my entire trip to Hong Kong and Indonesia cost less than a trip to Okinawa would have...and it's in Japan. But I definitely want to visit at some point and I'll post pictures then.

Incidentally, are there any Hajime Chitose songs on the mixed CDs I made you guys? She's a semi-traditional Okinawan vocalist and I think you guys would like her stuff. If not, let me know and I'll rip you some of her CDs.

AND I MISS YOU TOO! I WISH YOU WERE HERE!!!!

I wish I could come over there! Damned probation!

Nope. No Hajime Chitose. Definitely need to hear some of her stuff. Do they have CD's there with the songs in the opening and closing of anime? I have such a hard time finding any of the music over here. Especially Maximum the Hormone. The band did some songs for Death Note. I totally dig them.
