sunrise as viewed from the porch of the Hojo at Myoshinji. (Yup, you guys are probably going to have to put up with another Myoshinji pic tomorrow too.)
It's still freakishly cold at 7:30 in the morning, but upon comparing this picture with its mates that I took in December and January, I found that it is both much brighter out and that there is much less frost on the ground. I think that's one of the main things about Kyoto that's throwing me off: the midwesterner in me rebels at an immanent spring coming on the heels of cold but no snow to speak of.
