Man, I really hate to say this, but I have to thank Bush for fucking up so unbelievably that formerly-red states went not just for Obama, but for Democratic Senators and Congresspeople as well.
And yeah, we do have a very strange system. I hope some day America ditches the electoral college and moves to a truly Democratic system.
I am pleasantly surprised that your state got its shit together this time. Then again, same goes for mine. I loved clicking on the map to see the islands of blue afloat in a sea of red.
