Eeh ja nai ka?
Aug. 6th, 2003 02:00 pmYup. It now looks as though I do not need an alien registration card to get a phone. Hopefully, I will have a phone by the end of the week. Also hopefully, I won't be paying out the ass for it, and thus repeating the mistake I made with DoCoMo two years ago.
I found in my desk a letter from my predecessor in which he defends himself to school brass by saying "I don't (intentionally) sleep at my desk any more." What a shit!
On the upside, it gave me a good laugh. On the downside, it gave me the subconscious suggestion that it is easy to fall asleep one's desk. I find myself yawning more than usual.
Kimuchi rahmen for lunch today. Yummy. Exchanging money w/ cute male teller, also yummy.
I think I'm going to have to transcribe my FQF stories by hand and retype them at the International Center. Not so yummy at all. I wish I was still cued into the fest goings-on. It isn't half as fun when I can't read others's submissions.
Did hella-laundry yesterday. Have mastered my Japanese Laundry machine. Yeah.
Am getting into the swing of reading kanji now that the shock of "My god, no one but me is going to force me to learn this stuff any more!" is starting to wear off. OTOH, I think I would be much more motivated if there was a mofoing Book Off within a fifty-mile radius.
That will be all.
