Teo is wiping the floor with me.

Grumble. And I just want to move on to the next section of gameplay.
Suikoden is an interesting game to me because it's so retro. I couldn't believe that it only came out in '96; PC RPGing is just worlds ahead of this baby. Suikoden resembles nothing as much as the early Ultima games, maybe IV or V.
It's a fun game, but after being spoiled by the Baldur's Gate series, and even Diablo, I just can't get over how clunky and imprecise the interface is:
What do you mean:
-Charas only have one weapon?
-Can only hold 8-10 items?
-You can't switch party formation mid-battle?
-You can't chose character attributes?
-There's no spoken dialogue?
-There's no elective romance?
and so on and so forth.
Still a fun game though; I'm heartily enjoying the...subtext, shall we say...as well. If Dani does not make good on her "stew" comic idea, I shall slay her.
That will be all.
