My scores were very mediocre. It's a good thing I don't teach. ^_^

I dunno. Your scores were still probably better than those that many of my old English teachers would likely receive. I learned pretty much everything I know about writing, spelling, grammar, etc. from fanficcing. Sad, but true.

Hardly. Your English skills are already better than those of the majority of the native speakers online right now; I guarantee it! ^.~

You online? I was thinking... it's been almost four months since the last time I tried to draw something... today I did it (I drew Light and Misa... Ouran Host Club style ) but I have something that is killing me... I want to draw an original female charater with attitude/personality... how do you visualize physhically that kind of character? I want to hear/read your ideas, cloth, make up yes/no, hair, color of her eyes, this is like that Simpson episode with that doll Lisa Lionheart, could you help me, please?

Sure--sorry it took me so long to actually check comments on my lj. Hope I'm not to late! Anyway, I think a female chara with attitude and personality will above all dress like herself. That is, she will wear make up that makes her look good when she wants to, and not just what is the current style. The same goes for clothing. Probably something that is unique and makes her look good, but not trashy (I am thinking Britney or Paris Hilton as examples of trashy). And maybe her clothes will also tell about her mood that day or show off something she sewed/decorated herself.

Does that make sense or help at all?

And also, is there any chance of seeing your OHC Misa & Light pic?

Actually:
"Hello", he said.
is proper British English.
"Hello," he said.

Are you sure? I just had a look at my Brit!editions (Gaiman, Pratchett, Rowling, et. al.) and while they all mark dialogue with single quotations, I couldn't find any instances of punctuation occurring outside of the quotation marks themselves.

Maybe that example is wrong, but apparently British style is to not put the punctuation inside the quotation if it is not part of the quotation.

Hmm. Perhaps that rule doesn't apply to notating dialogue?
