Has anyone else found lj's search function...

...to be as utterly, blastedly useless as I do? I've been going through my lj for the better part of half an hour, trying to look up what I wrote about I book I read several years ago, and good ole search is turning up every single entry containing one of the words in the book's title except for the entry with the book's title, even when I click the "exact phrase" option. How completely, aggravatingly pointless!

You lose at life, lj.

I do all my searching through technorati. It's easy to join (free) and claim a blog. Then you can search specifically your blog and it will graph how often you use that terms (and on what days).

Or if you prefer Google, you can type this to search your site:
site:akujunkan.livejournal.com and put your search query after it. For example: "site:akujunkan.livejournal.com chinese lessons" to search on everything you've written about chinese lessons.

Yes, it does suck and I heard that they are finally trying to come up with a better search engine for the LJ.

Type in your journal name and whatever you're looking for, it should come up as long as it isn't friends only. :)

Alas! Even ljseek did not find it (although it did bring up the other, non-related entries). What is this, a conspiracy?
