Drat. Bother. EEK.

I am now the unhappy recipient of both an email and early morning phonecall to the effect that my Burmese class has been cancelled due to lack of enrollment (read: me and two other people, the end). At least this means I'll be able to watch the State of the Union address live for the first time in four years.
And that my enrollment fee has once again become disposable income.
I commenced the filing of my FAFSA today, having fallen subject to an unusual fit of productivity. Unfortunately, I have no idea where last year's tax records went. I know all the answers, seeing as I didn't pay any taxes. (The joy of living abroad and making (well) under $80,000 a year.) But that's certainly going to look odd on the form.
Anyway, I imagine they're somewhere in the storage shed. I just don't relish digging them out in sub-zero weather.
I received an email this weekend from SAIS stating that my application wasn't complete: namely, that they didn't have any record of my time at Nanzan. This is bullshit, because it's there on my application. Unfortunately, the vaguely worded explanation email I received made it sound as though they might actually be requiring an official Japanese-language transcript from Nanzan as well as official notarized translation thereof.
Much frantic calling to my uni's office of overseas studies ensued, at which time I learned that there was no such thing, because I was officially considered a student of IU, not Nanzan. I was then given the number of a non-secretary in order to confirm this, but the guy refused to answer his phone.
I thus decided to call SAIS directly. Turns out that yes, my classes and grades are all listed on my transcript--they were all reported at the end of my second semester there after I successfully completed the program. The SAIS doofs weren't smart enough to figure out that no, I had not taken 60 credit hours in one semester. *headdesk*
I'm hoping they're smart enough to realise that yes, I did turn my application in on time.
That will be all.
