SUPPOSEDLY if you've seen over 85 of these movies, you have no life. Mark the ones you've seen. There are 239 movies on this list. Put x's next to the movies you've seen and add them up.

As with the previous "seen it" movie meme (which was actually this meme minus the last 100 movies or so), I've used periods to indicate the movies which I've seen, but not in a single sitting. And I also take issue with the meme's methodology: 85 out of 239 is about 35.6 percent; I would argue that 50% is better as a cut-off indicator for having no life.

Agreed. I've seen all of the good movies on that list multiple times each. Thing is, this meme just adds a whole lot of bad movies onto an older meme (http://amasugiru.livejournal.com/104249.html#cutid1) that actually had a lot of good content listed. So I wouldn't feel too bad.

Re: Peter's question. Fans of the movie (who are legion and rabid) seem to think one of the best things about it was the running "You know how I know you're gay?" gag. I thought it was mildly amusing, but that the film itself blew.

I was a wee bit shocked when I saw the complete lack of (x) next to Grease. And to think you've sat through Waterworld. (I refused to watch it because of Kevin Costner.)

Funnily enough Peter doesn't remember that gag. In the slightest. I know for sure he watched the movie as I left the room to do other things and kept being drawn back by his laughter.

I've got to make time to watch Kung Fu Hustle. I've seen the first 10 or so minutes and loved it. Unfortunately it was on during the day, and I don't think the kids would enjoy it.

Grease is just one of those things, like Naruto or Gundam Wing, which I refuse to watch on principle, and don't feel the lack. Also: it may be of interest to you that I saw Waterworld on a date because it was the *ahem* longest movie running at the time.

Apparently there are two cuts of the movie. The gag shows up at least twice in both, but is considerably longer in one of the scenes in the alternate cut. Again, I did not feel that this improved the movie in any way. But that's just me.

Kung Fu Hustle I know nothing of. I have, however, been hankering to watch Shaolin Soccer recently.
