I just spent the morning and most of the afternoon at Shirataka kindergarten, which is far and away my favorite school. I've been visiting them for the past four months, and get on fabulously with the principal, the teachers, and all of the kids.
Better yet, they are really, really good about not abusing the CIR visits. I've taught English there of course, but I've also taught American children's games, nursery rhymes, and had several days where they just let me play with the kids. Last week I gave a short impromptu talk about Easter. I thought I'd bored everyone to tears, but it turns out they were all listening really closely. So in a fit of inspiration, I asked the teachers if we could make Easter eggs on my next visit.
( And today we did. ) So, yay. Awesome day, for once!
That will be all.
