ZOMG Anger!
Sep. 26th, 2005 07:22 pmOf course, owning a Japanese computer means computing entirely in Japanese. At first, I had a positive outlook. いい勉強になるかも and all that. Now? No.
It won't let me run Aim Express. It won't let me run Aim Quickbuddy. It won't let me install Aim because it 'isn't a win32 application.'
I also cannot turn the popup blocker off, install Java, or install Quicktime. I imagine it will be the same for Winamp and Opera as well. (The thought of trying to run Azureus or Winmx makes me cringe.)
Worse yet, there are several gigs of mystery programs on the machine and I can't figure out how to get them off.
Urgh.
Kids, when in Rome, stick to computing on familiar platforms.
That will be all.
