Running back through the flist, I discover that ascetic_hedony has tagged me for the 10 hot celebrities meme. This presents a bit of a problem, because I tend not to like celebrities as such, but lets see if anyone can recognise these names. Broken down into five Hot Girls and five Hot Boys for the sake of gender equality we have:

Stumbling waaay back down memory lane, I realised cienna and amasugiru tagged me for these memes, and I never posted them. So consider them posted.

1) Total number of films I own on DVD/video:
Probably under thirty. I'm one of those people who has trouble with passive entertainment; I can only watch TV shows in fifteen minute segments, so it's a rare occurrence for me to sit through an entire movie.

2) The last film I bought:
Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, Kagemusha, Ran, and Riri Shushu no Subete.

3) The last film I watched:
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring

4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:

c) Tonari no Totoro – the first anime I ever watched in Japanese.
d) Priest – Some day I want to see the unedited (read: real) British version.

At last count (three years ago), I owned a little under 800 books, not counting books I read before I was 15 and my books and manga in Japanese.

In English: Hardcore Zen, Kodansha's Effective Japanese Usage Dictionary, 完全マスター１級日本語能力試験文法問題対策, Jazz Up Your Japanese With Onomatopoeia. Shut up. I tend to buy books in groups.

1) The Lord of the Rings
2) Juniper and Wise Child - I was so sad to learn that their author, Monica Furlong, had died.
3) Ishi, Last of His Tribe - Ursala K. LeGuin is the daughter of Ishi's author.
4) Kitchen - the first non-manga novelisation, not-translated-from-English novel I read in Japanese.
5) The Mists of Avalon and The White Raven
