So far, they'd been aligning to keep me safe, and a happy series of school-switiching, demonstration teaching, and school festival cancellations allowed me to exist in this country for three months without encountering nattou.

Today that luck ran out. I opened the door to the lunchroom and was hit by a blast of ass-air billowing out from the doors. Ah, the smell of putrification nattou. Why the Japanese use you to ruin perfectly good magoro, spinach, rice, and salad I will never understand.

I carefully at around the nattou. My kids carefully ate the nattou, and left everything around it.

That is all.

How your phone rings and rings without kicking in to your answering machine.

I left my number in your comments, and I'll try to email it to you. I need to know when I should come down, and also where, as there is no express to Nara. If you don't have a keitai, meeting up with you could be a major problem.
