Of course the downside...
Aug. 14th, 2003 06:27 pm...of buying the "Exclusively available in Japan!" digital camera is that the instructions are also...exclusively available in Japanese. But no matter, because I am a kanji goddess!
I've figured out how to make the thing work, which is good. Its whimpy 8MB memory card can only store 14 pictures, which is bad. I think I will be heading back to Yamada Denki tomorrow in order to blow another 50 bucks on a memory card that can do some damage.
Too bad BookOff is almost next door...I can already hear my bank account weeping.
Had my very first 交通事故 yesterday on the way back home. A dumbass old man turned a corner looking in the opposite direction from the direction of his turn and head-on'ed my bike. Fucker. Now the wheel is bent about 30 degrees off the body of the bike. It's still rideable, but strains my left arm, which has to reach farther.
Oh yeah, did I mention? The fucker drove off, and none of the interested bystanders stopped to help.
Luckily, I am uninjured.
Have been getting the urge to write again. We shall see what comes out of that...
In the meantime, if anyone knows any cheap webspace providers who don't use FTP for their uploads, let me know. I've got some cool Japan pics I'd like to put online.
