The security software here also prevents me from doing the NYTimes crossword puzzle. Oh, and I can\'t read flocked posts on lj or reply to posts, period. Could play Lineage, though. Except I\'m not here for the computer games. >.<

That will be all.

not to be totally off-topic or anything.

could you rec a beginning korean grammer book? something i could find at amazon. all the books i've come up with all have high ratings so it's hard to weed out the ones that actually read well and teach well.

anyway, hope you have having fun on your trip despite the foreign pc security. if you drink lots and eat lotsa yummy kimchee, everything will be a-ok. mmmmm.

Caveat: the ONLY Korean textbooks I've used thus far are written in Japanese. I've searched for Korean texts Stateside and not liked what I've seen (ie, the glorified phrasebooks that are the TY series).

I did pick up Yonsei University's Korean textbooks while I was in Seoul. They've got grammar. Boy have they got grammar. I'm not sure I would understand what they were talking about if I wasn't familiar with the terminology from Japanese class. That said, they look SOLID. So I would recommend those, although not 100% because I haven't actually used them yet.

THE END;)
