akujunkanA buddy pointed me in the direction of this post on a certain mailing list. Apparently one of the major Japanese publishing companies is starting a magazine for 'pretty' anime/manga freaks. This magazine has for its mascot 'Beth' a 'pretty American anime/manga freak.'
The OP (whose Japanese status affords her godfather/royalty list status goes on to express bemusement at the idea that any American fan would look like that
What I find most ironic is that 'Beth' is wearing a type of outfit I see fashionable Japanese women in every day, right down to the baggy shirt, leg warmers, and high heels.
