akujunkanMonthly CIR meeting today, during which I talked to my boss about ye olde worke situation. He was most surprised to discover how much I am teaching English (two schools a day) and how little work I am doing at city hall (read: none). Something is now going to be done to address the problem (compared to the lip service I received in the Oaks), which leaves me Much Relieved.
Of concern: it is looking like I will need to have my own copy of Adobe Acrobat professional. This is a Good Thing in the long run (trust me!), but man, how long will it take me to actually earn that money back?
And now, for my current moral quandry.
I spent the past weekend with a bunch of dj friends in Tokyo, clubbing. I stayed at one of their houses, drove down in their car, and they got me on the guest list (in Tokyo!!!) so that all I had to pay for was my drinks. Some of djs - Jeff Mills - are Big Names in the EDM scene, so this is no small thing.
They're holding a party in the Oaks this weekend. I have promised to be there, in a Halloween costume. The JET Halloween party was rescheduled to coincide with this party. I must now tell my friends that I am bugging out on their party, because I cannot miss the Halloween party - it's the biggest (and most fun) of the year.
But man, I feel like crap about this.
What to do???
