I've been hearing a lot about an online photo host called flickr recently, so I decided to check it out. It looked pretty cool, so I began signing up yesterday. My computer crashes fairly frequently, and I didn't finish the sign up process with the username I wanted.
I went back to finish today and discovered that lo, flickr is now a yahoo company. One needs a yahoo id to use it. I do not want my yahoo id associated with my online file storage. Furthermore, the username I wanted for flickr is most likely someone else's yahoo id. I will therefore not be using flickr. What a pain in the butt.
That will be all.

on 2005-08-16 05:26 pm (UTC)i've only begun to use flickr. it's easy and has alot of cool features that can be used with almost every online thing i've seen...like posting directly to livejournal or a blog...or creating photo groups or communities.
(^_^) give it a try again.
