No audio or visual recording instruments are allowed into JLPT testing sites. Luckily, thanks to the wonders of the computer age, I am still able to bring you this dramatic recreation of the event:

That will be all.

Now

I must say the blood adds a sense of realism that would have been otherwise lost within the piece. Your composition though is a little busy and lacks the emphasis on the emotional release. Symbolically, I feel the strength of your message. Damn the man. Hack the planet.

Are you kidding me? My spareness of style is my strongest asset! Through my lack of a coherent theme, I portray the disorienting realisation that one has passed 1kyuu - an emotional state that could not be as effectively communicated through a more traditional approach to my subject.

That said, Damn the man, indeed! Now it's on to the kanji kentei and the other proficiency test.

I must say that is a truly moving piece which has brought me to tears. Oh that poor test! How it did not know what was to happen to it!

Thank you. You are, after all, in a position to empathise with the message of my work. After all, sure seems like my flist tag teamed it at every level this time around.

Yes everyone i've heard from so far whipped those bitches into submission (though our achievement is quite pathetic, seeing as I studied for only three days before the test and it wasn't actually very hard. Oh well. We were feeling lazy and will now proceed to 3kyuu and be a bit less lazy).

Thanks:)

Korean is next on the slate - but the only proficiency tests for it are in Japanese. Not sure I could handle the double whammy at the moment!

Thanks:) (And I think lj's only cooperating because it saw what happened to the test. Ph34r M3.)

That is freakin awesome. Both the achievement and the graphic. ^_^

(But how come you don't have any Kaerichi-like bloodspatter on you as well as on the club? Go for maximum gore, I say.)

I've heard just a little bit about the kanji kentei -- would be very interested in hearing more if you decide to pursue it. The levels beyond the traditional JLPT resemble the upper stratosphere to me... one has heard of them, but few mortal beings have penetrated them. ;-)

Will this mean more pretty yen notes in your new job? Now go get drunk!

Oh, and what does OWNZED mean? I see this (and variants) everywhere on LJ. I need a crash course in l33t.

Thank you! I'm still kinda stunned about it. I didn't think I was going to pass, and if I did, certainly by not such a wide margin.

You're correct - maximum gore is good. I'll try to make more of a mess with the next exam;)

Well, there is another proficiency test that goes way beyond 1kyuu, supposedly. I'm on a work puter now, but I can dig the link up for you when I'm back home. It's offered 5 times a year and is only $20 to take, which is good. Thing is, there aren't any study/information guides for it, and I'm not sure how widely recognised it is.

I've glanced at the kentei books in the bookstore - there is some pretty obscure stuff in there. I'll get you the website for those too.

Unfortunately, no more yen notes will be available here, and I have five classes this morning, so no drunkeness. But I'll be hanging w/ a fellow 2kyuu taker this weekend, and then the wine will flow;)
