Irony of ironies. Today I received, at my place of employment, a postcard from the Indiana Republican party reminding me to register for an absentee ballot. This is worrisome because a) I have not received an absentee ballot, though I sent my FPCA in well over a month ago; b) Several people I know have received their ballots; c) I requested that the ballot be sent to my work address; and d) I have not used my work address on any other official government paperwork, so the IN Republican party must have gotten it from my absentee ballot request.

I don't think anything untoward is going on here - I'm sure running background checks and registering absentee voters is a hectic undertaking, but man am I nervous. I haven't missed an election since I turned 18, and I really do not want to start now. Politics is important, dammit, and I know people who aren't going to vote this time around. I don't want to be one of them, even through no fault of my own.

And I feel very, very strongly about the current presidential race. I at least want to know that I cast my vote.

That will be all.
