<33 for your Silver Diamond trans. I wandered into the bookstore yesterday and asked for Silver Diamond just by chance (I'd asked for SD at least a year/half ago, but was perpetually stumped by the name of the publisher.) And lo and behold! This new guy, very nice, very enthusiastic immediately twigged onto what I was talking about, saying they'd had just one copy that's been there for at least a year. (So I guess the owner had been nice enough to order it when she'd seen it somewhere--though she certainly was a bit short tempered with me when I saw her.) I admitted that I was the one who originally asked after it, and he was like aha! Your'e the culprit! It was very cute. So I plunked down my last twenty as a deposit for him to order all the latest books... (Six! Six glorious volumes!) And took home the lone tank.... <3 (FINALLY, huh. ^^; )

So anyway, looked up your translations as comparison and clarification (REALLY helped during all the legalese I didn't have to look up when Gramps was explaining to wee!Rakan how he duped the family register. =). Also, the stuff on names--the characters are listed next to the name but. For the non-educated Koreans who did not learn chinese characters in school.... Not so much with the edification.) Your trans = Invaluable! (ALSO: that new driver sign above Chigusa's head explained...ROTF.)

So, the real part of my post is: Noticed this one part that was different from your trans--dunno about your interest in satisfying my curiosity, but I'm wondering if the Korean version is really wrong.

As it is:
P37
Rakan: "What do you plan to do with your life...? Do you think that anything that happens to you is okay just because you can't die? What do you think I am? Even if you're mortally wounded, even if you're gushing blood... '...Because I heal so quickly' Do you think that your soul can't be wounded either? Should I consider you such a heartless person?"

Korean trans:
What exactly do you take me for? Do you honestly believe that if you're horribly wounded and dripping blood that I'll just think, "Oh, well, he'll heal soon enough," and not be hurt enough by it to even blink? Do you really see me as such a heartless person?

Basically, a different slant on why Rakan is so angry. I'm personally a fan of the second (possibly wrong) translation because it infuses a bit of human selfishness(?) in Rakan. (If not not selfishness... Not quite moral outrage coupled real outrage, with concern and a dash of bewilderment thrown in...?)

I suppose I'm interested because I remember reading this segment when you first posted it, and being struck by Rakan's outburst--so so so selfless!

Haha, sorry for such a long comment. I think I'm not officially a true "fan" of a series until I own it.
