Things are going great

On Sunday I was woken at seven in the morning by the sound of weedwhackers. Two men were mowing the empty lot beneath my window. I thought, oh please let it be so.
Yesterday, they kept me awake with jackhammers and massive, clanking scaffoding. I thought, dear gods, let it be so.
Today, I awoke to find a backhoe and porta-potty erected in the lot. And I knew my prayers had been answered.
They are going to start construction in my backyard. This means that there will be a buffer building between my apartment and the Noisy-ass Trainyard of Satan.
I must be the first person on the face of the planet who actually delights in the fact that a large-scale construction job will soon be occurring outsider her window.
I tend to get fairly horny right before my period. I wonder if this isn't caused by my eggs, sending a massive distress signal to my body as they plummet down the fallopian tubes - OMG! This is my last chance to meet someone! Time is running out! Do something, body!
