Posted early because I am feeling virtuous today, Today's Picture is of:

BookOff. For those of you who don't know, BookOff is Japan's largest used bookstore chain. New arrivals to Japan find the name amusing. People who have been here longer treat it like the holy grail it is. We're talking craptons of used books and manga for a dollar a piece (although hotter items can range to about $4.50 and older items might come five to ten for a buck).

They were also one of the first stores in Japan to issue point cards which meant that until I learned restraint in my old age, I'd drop $10-20 every time I visited. On the upside, I discovered most of my favorite Japanese authors at BookOff, because there's virtually no risk in buying someone you've never heard of (plus you can tachiyomi, or stand and read in the aisles without ever purchasing anything), and for every $10 you spend, you get $1 worth of free merchandise. About 1/3 of all the books I own are BookOff purchases.

That will be all.

I am so jealous. I just read a Japanese author- Natsuo Kirino. And I MUST have some of her books. Although, I'll have to get you opinion on how far off the mark the ones I read are- DAMN translators.
