Status update
Aug. 15th, 2003 04:36 pmRan into K yesterday in Saty. We ended up walking around for a while in the rain before meeting up with some more kids and heading to Up Tight, where about thirteen other gaijin were waiting to keep us company. When I find webspace, pictures will be posted.
I believe I'm meeting some of them later tonight for a trip into Toyama, which should be cool.
Returned yet again to Yamada Denki, where I purchased a better memory card. Seeing as BookOff is right across the street...
I really am a capitalist tool.
amasugiru I don't think I can make it to Nara/Nagoya this weekend - sorry, hon! But by next week, I will have a phone; let's set something up then. Animate & Mandarake call my name.
I wanted to thank
bloody_american for the rec - you're awesome! I'm so glad you liked it:D (And BTW, I have three more stories waiting to be archived...)
metal_dog5 and
hazardblue will be happy to learn that I saw my first episode of Smallville last night. They will be unhappy to learn that it was dubbed in Japanese. But, I think I might be tuning in next week for more.
I'm a little short on time, with the above concluded, you are dismissed.

Not a problem!
on 2003-08-17 10:15 pm (UTC)Christmas in England. I have two friends over there currently studying at graduate school. They are staying there for the holidays and invited me to come visit. If you are interested I can see if they will house two.
Easter in Turkey. Those same two friends are Middle Eastern Studies Majors. Depending on if I can work some mid-semester break around the same time as theirs' I want to them to show me around. They have been there before and know the area.
Places I want to make it to:
Hokkaido(for the snow festival)
Kyushu... we have to abuse Tristan's unoffered hospitality, especially since I haven't been there yet.
Thailand. 'nuff said.
India... I am willing to compromise with Nepal.
Hawaii: my aunt lives on Oahu and works at the zoo. I will see if she can't help me work out travel arrangements.
Finally there is the massive epic that will be the ride home. I am looking for faithful travelling companions but I know its too early to commit to now. Where there was once nine there shall be as many as I can find. I want to land in China and take the Trans-siberian through Russia. Afterwards I am backpacking through as many European countries as my limited budget allows.
BWAHAAHA EPIC!
Anywho, as for Nagoya... get that phone number to me and we shall talk!
