1) I have eight piercings, all visible while fully clothed. I would like a tattoo, but as I can barely decide what to buy for lunch, do not think it advisable to permanently alter my body in the above fashion.
2) As a corollary to the above, although I would like more piercings (eyebrows, earlobes, and lip spring to mind), I will not get them, as I feel all the metal in my head makes me slightly topheavy as it is.
3) I have studied four languages formally (Spanish, Latin, French, Japanese), four independently (Ghaidhlig, Gaelg, Cornish, and classical Greek), and one through a tutor (Turkish).
4) I have studied five instruments formally (violin, oboe, guitar, pennywhistle, baroque recorder), and harbour dreams of learning the drums, bagpipes, flute, bass, hammered dulcimer, and harp.
5) I read 327 books, cover to cover, in the English language last year; I have been keeping a list of every book I've read since August 21, 1994.
6) I have worked as a co-op in two orthopaedic companies, a hostess/dishwasher in a diner, in customer service, in fashion retail, and in the industrial sector. I prefer factory work by far. It's where I met my first white supremacist.
7) I did not experience culture shock upon first travelling to Japan, but did experience it after moving from urban to rural Japan.
8) I have visited seven foreign countries, and stepped outside the airport in five of those.
9) I moved out of my house when sixteen.
10) I prefer the name my parents almost gave me to the one I have now.
11) I wrote my first fanfic at the age of sixteen. Paradoxically, it is better written than many of the fics I produced at the ages of seventeen and eighteen.
12) The classical arts I have studied include: shibori, ceramics, shodo, hanga, sumi-e, beadwork, quilling, Irish step, karate, and calligraphy.

15) If I could give one reason for returning to Japan, it would have to be BookOff.

17) I will never have children because all my maternal energies are devoted to growing herbs - the more obscure the specimen, the better.
18) I own over thirty decks of tarot cards; out of these, I actively use about nine. I bought my first deck when I was ten.
19) I was removed from the sixth grade for being a satanist. After that, I was bused to a different school each day.

23) R.E.M. is my favourite band, when it comes to the nitty-gritty. I love Kevin McMahon's songwriting, but his album output is nowhere near as prolific.
24) If I enjoy doing an activity, I spend four times as much time thinking about doing it as I spend actually engaged in said activity.
25) I don't believe in bras or underwear. I own quite a bit of both, yet only wear them out of necessity.
26) Eating ice cream makes me want to cry, because the chilled sensation it causes in my tongue is similar to that caused by crying.
27) Feminine beauty ideals don't hold much water for me. I shave my legs about once a month (if that), and most people don't notice the difference. I hate makeup (aside from liquid eyeliner), and think most of the designer/brand name clothing people spend so much money on is shit-in-the-face ugly.
28) I can write about 800 kanji (Chinese characters) from memory, in twenty minutes. I can read several thousand more.
29) I can count the times I've puked from drinking too much on one hand. I have yet to experience a hangover.
30) I code switch constantly when speaking to people. The amount of obscenities I use decreases to none (at work), minimal (in class), to no holds barred (with friends). I am also a master of using Japanese-syntax English to get my point across when talking to Japanese people (ex. This food is very good. You should try.)

32) I have to be awake for at least two hours before I can handle breakfast without the thought of food making me sick.
