Three, Two, One, I'm the Bomb...

...and I went off in Electric Six's shit last night.
Holy god, they were fucking amazing. This was easily one of the best shows I've seen in years, in terms of accoustics, presentation, and energy. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
I'd purchased my ticket all on my lonesome, but managed to strongarm four other friends into going with me (and they are now all diehard E6 fans. Win.) We did a little pre-drinking at their apartment before heading out to catch the opening acts.
First up was the Golden Dogs--these guys are going places. Look for them. They were followed by The Willows, who honestly did nothing for me, but I'm not exactly into the hippie stoner scene either.
And then...Electric-fucking-Six:

Dick Valentine is ready for Showtime!

Hot 80's fabulousness.

Phase Two: Suit.
As you can see, I remembered my camera this time. (I actually took about 40 other pictures, but I won't spaminate you with them all.) The show was just amazing (and why is it that good shows always reduce me to squeeful inarticulateness?)--the band was tight, the music was awesome, and they didn't just play their repertoire, they performed it. The crowd went apeshit--I emerged from the show soaked to the skin with (mostly other people's) sweat.
But the fact that I got to shake Valentine's hand more than made up for that. Only thing I regret is that they did not play Synthesizer or I'm The Bomb, but other than that, fucking awesome show. You all wish you'd been there.
That will be all.
