Weekend Update
Feb. 14th, 2005 10:32 amHave just returned from a weekend in Kansai spent at the residence of the lovely
amasugiru. Of course the trains were delayed both ways - the return train by over 30 minutes, thanks to the blasted snow that drove me from my home in the first place. Anyway, I return much rested and with a much lighter wallet. Here is what I have eaten in the past four days:
Thursday: graduation baikingu (1:00pm) and pancakes (8:00pm).
Friday: one orange (7:30am) and all-you-can-eat sushi and yakiniku (noonish).
Saturday: one piece of toast (11:00am), two mini pastries (5:30pm) and all-you-can-eat sushi (8:30pm-ish).
Sunday: Thai buffet (2:00pm) and half a raspberry pastry (5:00pm).
It's amazing how off my body feels when it doesn't get its meals regularly. OTOH, the food was delicious. How I love yakiniku and sushi. Astute readers will recognise the sushi viking from the Osaka trip last year, where I ate 22 plates, breaking my previous record of 18. I think I managed to break that record this time; we lost count at plate 17, and each ate at least three more after that.
I also appear to have lost my digital camera on the train somewhere, dammit. At $400, this is the most expensive electronic thing I have lost yet, taking the lead from the $200 MD player I left on a Northworst flight, which was stolen by the flight attendants. I should not be allowed to have expensive electronic toys. ::sob::
That will be all.
