My liver says, Ouch!
Sep. 20th, 2003 03:42 pmYesterday was Friday, which called for celebration. The celebrations included a Kirin longneck at home (one longneck is over half a litre of beer), and then 飲み放題 at UpTight. Not exactly sure what I drank, because I lost count after 7 beers, 2 rum & cokes, a shot each of whiskey and tequila, and a cassis soda. Good times.
I woke up this morning to find that it has become autumn. The 蝉 have stopped singing (and leaving corpses everywhere), and the wind is cool and damp.
On the writing front, not much has been happening because I've been drabbling like no one's business. But a few people at ff.net have asked when the next bit of Wolves is coming out, so I, being a LOC whore, will do my best to oblige them.
Going to see Noh theatre tomorrow. Am looking forward to it.
I've been fighting the good fight against entropy all this morning. My apartment is still hideously messy, but at least my clothing is hanging up and I can make sense of my bookshelf again. On a not-so-happy note, I discovered, after doing massive amounts of laundry that my futon is too heavy for both the rinser and dryer. (Yes, Japanese washing machines do not have rinse cycles. You put your wet, soapy clothing into a different machine to rinse it out and another to dry it. Now you see why this is a problem.) So, I took my sopping wet, still-soapy futon into the bathtub, ran water over it, and tried to get most of the soap out. Didn't really work, but it was the best I could come up with.
My futon is now hanging up outside, dripping copious amounts of soapy water onto my balcony. I only hope it dries before it mildews.
And later today, pictures. Yes. Finally.
That will be all (for now).
