Very cool. )

Recently, someone on the amla list started a discussion on anti-yaoi groups, which surprised me. Not because such a topic would be raised on amla, but because I didn't know such groups existed. What would an anti-yaoi group even talk about?

Member 1: Boy, do I hate yaoi!
Member 2: Yeah, me to!

I can just picture it.

After all, everyone watches what the foreigner is doing. Today, I took my own laptop into school because I a) wanted to see how far from my home my (nominally) 64k wireless connection (don't you laugh, [livejournal.com profile] shoebucket) remained 64k, and because I wanted to use AIM, and I can't get past the firewall on the school computers.

One of the 校頭 saw me, which precipitated both of them coming over and asking questions about my computer, my connection rates, how much I pay per month, etc. etc.

Now the first 校頭 is making the rounds of the staffroom, asking each teacher whether s/he uses a school computer or her/his own. I have the feeling that I will be stuck bringing my own laptop to school each day from now on, and that if I do ever decide to dump my wireless contract in favor of ADSL, I'll be SOL if I want to have a computer at my desk.
