...chilling with Happa no Freddie's fleece.
Or at least that's what I told him on Saturday.
That's right,
amasugiru, Freddie is, as of two weeks ago, a JET. I ran into him at orientation.
He's still bitching about the fleece. Sucka.
In other good news, Triston, and Owen from Nanzan, and Triston (again) and Drew from B-town are also going over. Drew is actually going to be living next door to me. Very cool.
Apparently, the guy who interviewed me for the first round also went to Nanzan. Nice guy, although he likedYamada Akuma-sensei, which makes me question his mental faculties somewhat.
Drive was long and noxious, although with less road construction than Indy.
In other news -
metal_dog5, that story is amazing. I don't even watch the show (oh wait! I can watch the show now. I will watch the show now), and I'm digging that fic. Thanks for the rec.
And
bloody_american, I was interested to read your comments about Procul His a few days ago, because I was...kind of disappointed by it.
I think they might have switched authors - the tone of the story seemed waaaaay different to me as compared to Bittersweet Poison. I thought Dumbledore was very OOC, and Snape was rather caricatured as well.
OTOH, I love the new spells they've come up with. And yeah, I'm very interested to see where the story's going, especially having read the update notes.
Chilled with Sara. Talked piercings, music, Doug, hair dye, and so forth.
Chilled with JonJackJon. Talked OoP, music, cigarettes, and so forth. Met his friend Tym - a very cool guy. Joined forces and indulged in that most Warsonian of pastimes - a late night ramble through Wallyworld.
And with that, gentle reader, I bid you goodnight
