I spent today battling an infestation of whitefly on my herbs. I think it's mostly under control, but am going to see what kinds of organic pesticides are available at Bloomingfoods tomorrow.
I had planned to spend the day rooting cuttings of various herbs, and did kind of get around to that very much later than I had intended: I woke up early to get started, and then realized that perhaps walking around in a churchyard with a knife and hacking up plants at 8:00am on a Sunday (when people might actually be at the church) is perhaps not the best game plan, so didn't take the cuttings until evening, when the plants' essential oils are back in its roots. (This and the fact that most of the plants I cut are in flower now means that I'm less likely to get viable cuttings.)
This was, I am sure, more than most of you ever cared to learn about horticulture.
I've just spent the last two hours translating a Koori no Mamono no Monogatari doujinshi. Can't wait to post the thing tomorrow; it's adorably cute. The girl who owns the hard copy (I was working from her scans) lives in Germany. I am left to wonder how she got her hands on the thing when I spent a year in Japan and could find no Koori djs whatsoever.
At least she scans well:-)
Over & out.
