Today I went to Borders to Go Sit With The Books. While Sitting With The Books I noticed an advert for 'Educators' Days' (or something similar), during which time any current or former educators can buy books for classroom or personal use at 25% off of the cover price.
You may imagine the haste with which I made my way to the Information Desk an enquired if non-US based teachers also qualified.
"I don't see why not," I was told.
So yay. I can no longer claim that the JET Programme never did anything for me. If all goes well (I won't know for certain until I actually try to buy something) I will soon be taking advantage of Educators' Days at Borders. And while I won't exactly be saving any money, I will be getting more books for the massive amounts I can already picture myself spending.
That will be all.
