Comment and ask me for a letter. Then go and open your iTunes (or whatever). Look at the songs that begin with the letter I gave you and pick ten. Post the titles and tell us why you chose them.

amasugiru, I dub thee "L":
1. Lady Madonna - Love Psychedelico
The song that got me into underground J-Rock (five years ago when ラブサイ was underground). One of several tracks I sang as lead vocalist for a Love Psychedelico cover band while I was in uni in Japan.
2. Lightening Frightening - David Bowie
David Bowie, 'nuff said. (Plus the lyrics are awesome.)
3. Liz Kelly's - Cran
Elizabeth Kelly's was the first song I learned by ear on the pennywhistle. This is the double jig version of that tune, performed by what is perhaps the best irtrad group out there.
4. Like A Lovesong - The Pillows
Easily within my top five Pillows faves. Awesome melody, awesome chorus.
5. La La Love You - The Pixies
From Doolittle, one of the best albums ever. A beautifully snide rip on real love songs.
6. Love In The Time Of Thieves - BT
Breaks! I loves me some breaks! The vocals are crystalline and the lyrics are actually good. Unfortunately, BT didn't quite figure out how to end the track; it sort of meanders toward the end.
7. Lotus - R.E.M.
Great organ/guitar opening riff on this track. Was also the number the band chose to kick off with when I saw them live. They are an amazing live act.
8. Ladybird's Sleeping Art - Guniw Tools
Guniw Tools' take on Mechanical Animals era-Manson. Only it's cheerful, and pretty darn good.
9. Lazy Line Painter Jane - Belle And Sebastian
The. Absolute. Best. Belle And Sebastian song. EVER. And no one's ever heard it.
10. Rewrite - Asian Kung-fu Generation
L? R? What's the difference? Japan's answer to Weezer sure doesn't know, but this track rocks anyway. ;)
Let me know if you fancy a listen to any of these; I'll see what I can do.
That will be all.
