Any Verizon users out there?
LJ, I have a problem. In preparation for the DC trip next week, I purchased a cell line from Verizon. In order to stretch my money as far as it will go, I have the bare bones text plan. I can send and receive up to 15 texts a day before it starts costing me $$. My friends understand this.
Problem is, the person who had the line before me did not. In fact, he seems to have found his calling in embodying the stereotype of the uneducated Midwest townie with a cell phone. In the 23 hours in which I have owned this line, I have received three sexts (one with a photo), two porno spams that appear to be coming from Russia, three "wat he sed he was a FAG!? / hello sexy how are ya hun / hey daddy what you doing? :)" texts, a chain text instructing me to forward it to all my friends in exchange for a gag wallpaper ("This message ACTUALLY works! Even ask your phone company"), and an automated weather alert that is apparently going to be mailed to my phone daily at the asscrack of dawn unless I can correctly guess the former owner's email address and security question, which appears to be the only way to get it turned off, if a visit to the website of the TV bureau that sends it is any indication.
In the meantime, I am paying for these annoyances. Anyone have any experience dealing with Verizon to get this taken care of?
Anyone?
Bueller?
That will be all.
